My Favorite Disney Snacks

Today is Disney snack day in my Disneybound community, so I thought that this would be an excellent time to share with you some of my absolute favorite Disney snacks. I always say that Disney just does everything better, and that is true of food as well. I do not know how Mickey sprinkles so much magic into each bite, but it is true!

Dole Whips ~ The dole whips are one of my top must eat items in the park. On my first trip to Disneyland, my friend dragged me to the Dole Whip stand. I did not understand what the fuss was about until I tasted it. IT WAS AMAZING! I love a frozen treat, but milky things on a hot day just make me feel like Ron Burgundy…”Milk was a bad choice”, which I usually will say if I get a regular ice cream. But Dole Whips are both tasty and refreshing on a hot or cool (rarely) day. Maybe that is why I always drag my family to Adventureland first! There are so many flavors now and different options of how to have then served. The pineapple Dole Whip on top of pineapple upside down cake is my winner though.

Popcorn ~ I know, it may sound silly, but I love Disney popcorn. I do not know if it is the popcorn itself, or all of the amazing buckets that they have. There are so many options that I cannot choose yet. But my favorite bucket is the different Toy Story aliens! Hubs refuses to let me get it and fuel my Toy Story obsession. Lucky for me, I am heading to Disney World soon without him (mwahahahah). But seriously, the popcorn is light and tasty without having that weird waxy texture the bag butter popcorns have. And if you can head into Star Wars’s Galaxy Edge, the sweet and spicy popcorn mix is a MUST try from Kat Saka’s!

Mickey Pretzel ~ I am a complete sucker for a Mickey Pretzel. I usually grab one between meals if we have a later reservation, just to make sure my tummy stays happy. It does feel a little wrong to eat Mickey’s face, but that has never stopped me or my kids. It is always so quick to grab, and then you are back in line for your favorite ride in no time.

Waffle Tacos ~ this is ALWAYS a breakfast we do in Magic Kingdom. Partially because on the meal plans, these amazing things count as a snack credit mostly. Sleepy Hollow is a little outside eatery and the only place I have found to serve this. You get a full waffle filled with strawberries and whipped cream. There are a few different variations, like the Chicken and Waffle sandwich…where the bread for the sandwich is the waffles. Dear Lord take me now, because this is amazing, and I am salivating over here as I type. Try to head there early in the day and cash in a snack credit for a full meal!

Totchos ~ Our last trip we discovered the glory that is the TOTCHOS. Just imagine a bright light shines when you say that and Woody with angel wings lowers from above with your food, to properly understand the awesomeness of this. Tater tots are a staple in life anyways, but then the Toy Story crew just starts showing off. Add chili and cheese on top, then all the sour cream and onions for the adventurous (aka adults) which I am not. They were so amazing. We have been trying to recreate this treat at home for a while now because we desperately miss it so much! Or maybe it was the spiked lemonade, but regardless it is a must try while in Toy Story Land!

Mickey Bars ~ My sister demanded that I include these, and they are a park staple. I avoid most dairy due to rides, but my sister’s day in the parks is not complete until she has gotten her Mickey Ice Cream bar. She is not wrong, because the ice cream is just smoother than normal ice creams. Plus, if we are being honest, many of us grew up in the “What would you do for a klondike bar” era of commercials. The chocolate covering is just like this and gives you the perfect compliment to the smooth ice cream. My kids also love getting these, and when our local stores have them in the freezer aisle, we grab them all.

So, these are my favorite snacks!

What are yours?

Let me know if there is something that I am missing out on!
